cakes can sweeten the lives of others as well. Laurel started creating cakes for family and friends at no charge, experiencing the good, the bad, and the ugly of custom cakes. After three years, and an overload of support and cake requests, Laurel opened A Sweet Life in 2013, to share her passion and hobby with others. Ashley Schlabach's baking passion began with cupcakes in 2010. It flourished into specialty cakes in 2014, when she began her apprenticeship with Laurel, and found her true passion for creative decorating of cakes. She is a mother to a wonderful 2 year old boy who is her everything. He gives her inspiration to be the best she can be. Ashley pours her whole heart and soul into whatever she does, and is excited to share her new passion with others.
