As y'all know, we have a love/hate relationship with living in cap hill lol, but nearby special places like this make us feel lucky.

At SAME, everyone eats with dignity regardless of their ability to pay. In exchange for a warm, healthy homemade meal, people can pay what they can, volunteer their time, or donate fresh produce.

People experiencing houselessness, refugees, retirees - truly anyone can come to SAME and join in their mission, while gaining valuable skills, job training, and ideally leaving feeling dam good about how they spent their day.

For almost 19 years they have been building community through food, which is what it's all been about for us too. So we're so honored to be able to share space with them and help bring more proceeds to this amazing Colfax STAPLE 👏

Thank you to for another amazing experience participating in your summer program, which helps to empower AANHPI youth by creating space and community for girls / gender-expansive ♥️

I had the honor of catering their group, as well as leading an activity involving delicious housemade buko pandan 😋

You may not know this about me, but I'm also 200RYT certified, and find so much meaning and power in regular yoga / meditation practice. I'd be way more delulu if this wasn't a part of my life since starting with my mom in high school lol. I was so stoked AGI allowed the opportunity to lead the students through some breathing and yoga poses, while speaking about what affirmation and intention means to them.

This is Kids Table's 2nd year with AGI, and it's amazing seeing the group grow, and the students finding true friendships with other girls who started as strangers that may have grown up with a similar story as them.

You know we can't miss a good opportunity for a themed mango sticky rice ball 😏
