XOXO it’s pageant girl time! Congratulations to the newly crowned Miss Kinney County and Miss Brackettville. Thank you Michaela for having Natalia Limon- Miss 5 de Mayo and Kianna Villa- Miss 4th of July judge and for having Amya Mendoza- Miss Val Verde Teen as a visiting queen. The girls had an amazing time at the pageant.

Today is PLC Serve Day 2026 and Hailey Alonso - Miss Del Rio Duchess and her sister Aaliyah Alonso- Miss Val Verde along side their family participated in the Serve Day 2026.

Shon Young and Janeene Young founders of Young Living Stones have done amazing things at City Church Del Rio. We admire their dedication to serving others, being servants to Jesus and doing all of it for the glory of His Kingdom! City Church Del Rio has been part of feed the hungry since I can remember and we have always appreciated the opportunity to allow us in helping prepare the food packages.

Last week, Lil Miss Val Verde Marie Nope and Young Living Stones partnered with RockPointe Church of Flower Mound, City Church Del Rio, FBC Albany, Hope City Church, and many other churches, organizations, and volunteers from Del Rio for an incredible Feed the Hunger food packing event.

While volunteers were packing meals in Del Rio, their team in Acuña was preparing, serving, and praying with families as they distributed more than 250 fresh meals to the community.

Thank you to Feed the Hunger, every church, every organization, every volunteer, and every ministry partner who made this possible. Together, we’re not just providing food—we’re sharing the love and hope of Jesus.

Yesterday’s food distribution at Roy Musquiz Park was a great success, and Miss Val Verde Teen - Amya Mendoza is incredibly grateful to everyone who came out.

A heartfelt thank you to the South Texas Food Bank for their continued partnership and commitment to helping our community.
