This gorgeous dun girl is one that will fit a wide variety of riders. She is super broke with a nice handle and is easy to ride. She’s been ridden in all types of settings from the middle of 40,000 acres to the bright lights of the city and lots of places in between. She’s experienced, confident and safe.
She came from a 70 yr old gentleman that was using her daily on his ranch. His grandkids used her as well. She’s been ridden in big country to gather and move cows. She’s awesome to prowl pastures on. You can put her in a long trot and she will travel for miles. You can also step her off into a short lope and she’ll stay consistent on a loose rein. She’s calm in the pens and alleyways loading trucks. You can drag calves to the fire on her. She’ll drag a cow in the trailer for you. She’s awesome to pony and halter break colts. You can also pony a horse with a tiny kid on it beside her.
You don’t have to be a rancher or a cowboy to ride Harley. If you’re a weekend warrior trail rider that’s perfectly ok - she loves trail riding and has logged hundreds of hours cruising out. She goes up and down the hills like a goat. She loves going through the water. She will pick her way through brush and cactus and always knows where her feet are. She’s road and traffic safe. She will ride out alone with no fuss or drama. We have ridden her at the Fort Worth Stockyards. The noise, commotion, crowds, cars, none of it bothers her. She takes it all in like a rock star.
She rides like a champ in the arena. She will walk, trot and lope as asked. She picks up her leads and has a good stop. She is a really cool heel horse and has been hauled to tons of jackpots. You can ranch on her all week then haul her to the roping and win yourself a check. She’s also been used for ranch rodeos.
If you’re in the market for a horse that can cover a long list of jobs and be gentle at everything then Harley could be your girl. She doesn’t have bad habits. She has impeccable manners.
