Meet our first keynote speaker Kayla Olson at McKinney Literary Fest!

Join us at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 30 at McKinney City Hall as bestselling author Kayla Olson takes the stage as a keynote speaker for this year’s McKinney Literary Fest.

Olson is the author of The Reunion and The Lodge, along with young adult novels The Sandcastle Empire and This Splintered Silence. Her suspenseful storytelling and unforgettable characters have captivated readers across genres.

McKinney Literary Fest features author talks, panels, readings and opportunities to connect with more than 30 North Texas authors throughout the day.

Learn how to turn kitchen scraps and yard waste into nutrient-rich soil at the McKinney Public Library’s new Backyard Composting program. Presented by Master Composters, the class will cover how to start and maintain a compost system, what materials can be composted and how composting helps reduce household waste.
