Meta’s "Location Fees" start July 1st. 📉

Meta is passing Digital Services Taxes (DST) directly to advertisers. It’s a surcharge based on where your audience is located, not your business address. 🌍

This is a surcharge, not a deduction from your budget.
- The Math: if you set a $1,000 budget for Italy, Meta will spend the full $1,000 on delivery. Your final bill, however, will be $1,030.

- The "Double Tax": If your account is subject to VAT, that tax is calculated after the location fee is added. You are essentially paying a tax on a tax. ⚠️

The Impact:
- Inaccurate Reporting: Ads Manager will still report performance (ROAS/CPA) based on the "Amount Spent" column. Your real ROAS will be lower because your actual cost is 2–5% higher than the dashboard shows. 📊

- Budget Creep: If you have a strict hard cap from a client, you’ll need to set your campaign spending limits slightly lower to account for the "invisible" fee on the final invoice.

- Margins: For high-spend accounts or low-margin products, a 5% jump in cost can be the difference between profit and a loss. 📉
