Well, it’s been 31 years today with this fun & crazy guy! Here’s to many more adventures together! 🎉
The statics are stunning! If you call yourself an Christian, which means “little Christ”, then an identifying mark is going to be that you are reading and trying to understand the Bible, the revelation of Christ, as much as possible! If not, the conclusions are:
1) You are deceived to think it doesn’t matter or you don’t have time and you will stay an infant-like believer. No real growth, no kingdom fruit, no spiritual depth, more vulnerable to deceptions and enemy attack.
2) You do not yet truly have a relationship with God through the forgiveness of your sins by faith in Jesus.
If you struggle to get into God’s Word, here are some things to help:
1) Ask Him to give you a deep desire 2) MAKE some time each day in the same place at the same time to help make it habit.
3) Choose a translation that you can understand.
4) Start with the Psalms, book of John, or even Genesis. Just start!
5) Can use Bible app with all kinds of reading plans with different translations and devotions to help explain passages.
6) Read with others to help with accountability and for growth!
