Tips on traveling with a toddler:
1. Bring snacks- If you are on an airplane you definetely want your child eating or drinking during ascent/descent to help with the air pressure. Nothing worse than starting a flight with a crying child because their ears hurt. It is also a known fact that children are happier when they are eating. Don't feel guilty for letting them eat 3 hours straight, it's airplane survival.
2. Go to the Dollar Store, or a cheap alternative beforehand and buy something to occupy them. I found this Magic Water Marker that was clutch. You add water to the marker and color in the booklet on the spots that are empty. It's genius!!! Water evaporates, so you can use it over and over. Also, you don't have to worry about them drawing on the seat because it's just water. I also got a small etch a sketch that kept her busy.

The key is to buy something small and light that can fit in your personal item. If it can't fit on their lap it will be falling on the floor constantly. You also want something they can do independently.

3. Bring a bag that is open at the top to carry on the plane. It's helpful not to have to unzip your bag when you need to urgently clean little hands. You have to be quick on your feet with little ones. 😉

Our Spring Break was mixed with leasure and family. Since I was born and raised in Miami, a visit is never actually a vacation. This time I took a different approach and did both. The private beach was the perfect place for us to meet up with my cousins while still feeling like tourists.

Do you normally spend holidays with family or being a tourist?

Flashback to our first vacation as a family in 2018. My baby was only 4 months and I was still figuring out how to travel as a mother. I miss because it was so easy not having to worry about what to feed her.

Tips on Traveling with a Baby:
*Bring a carrier--
Depending on where you are traveling, a stroller may not always be the best option. I'm always at the beach on vacay so a stroller isn't really an option. It's also great to be hands-free while walking the streets of an unfamiliar city.

At the airport, before you board place your baby in the carrier and push the stroller through the line. It's easier to get your stroller ready for gate-check with the baby already attached to you. It's also an easy transition from carrier to baby seat-belt when you are seated.
