Way back in the day, my sister, 2 cousins and I used to travel from Dallas south to the little town Waxahachie to spend the weekend with our great grandmother and great aunt. Their modest brick home was on a curb less infrequently traveled street. The kind where its safe for kids to ride aunts 3 wheeler bike with me and a cousin riding in the basket over the back 2 tires. While the youngest of us was out back in the creek hunting crawdads, the 3 of us girls would sit in the huge backseat of aunts battle ready buick to run errands. I remember her taking us to a fabric store, telling us 3 girls that learning how to sew would be important as we grew up. As we walked over to the remnant bin she told us, "You can pick out 1 remnant each".When we were done and back at her house she showed us a few very basic stitches, how to allow a bias, and how to sew on buttons. I was thrilled! My cousin and I made dolls and clothes for them out of scraps. I've appreciated those early lessons for the last 50 years while I can turn coolotts into a skirt, mend favorite outfits or create groovy life essentials. Thank you Aunt Ceil!

I continue to work out at the gym at least 3 days a week, even after all this time. A strange thing happened today during my workout. In random play, my phone song program played 3 songs I reference in this book. I don't think that's ever happened. (Edited to get rid of Facebooks' erroneous attachment that had absolutely nothing to do with my post whatsoever.)
