CARE Dallas
Founded in 1984, CARE Dallas is a nonprofit organization that provides a safe, confidential space to receive resources and education about substance use disorders. CARE seeks to educate the community about the consequences of drug and alcohol use through classes, school events, and local outreach. The CARE Dallas team provides no-cost referrals and support to families who have been affected by substance use disorder.
On May 5, 2025, I was deeply honored to step in as Executive Director of this incredible organization.
This past year, thanks to your support, we’ve expanded our reach and provided vital education and resources to more families than ever before. Through our school programs and community outreach, we’ve strengthened prevention efforts around substance abuse while also addressing the critical connection between mental health and addiction.
We also successfully integrated the programs of the outstanding nonprofit Livegy into CARE. This partnership enhances our ability to deliver comprehensive education on fentanyl awareness, overdose prevention, and harm reduction including expanded access to Naloxone, while continuing to support families navigating both substance use challenges and mental health needs.
