It might not be my face, but it's my art that's gracing another cover📘. The July 2025 edition of the English Journal vividly has my painting, "Aqua Boogie" on its cover. The theme for this edition was, "Teaching For Joy." The editors thought this painting was a great fit showcasing "Joy!" So if you're a teacher or scholar and have this edition, you not only have a journal of distinguished articles, but a piece of art from me! 😁

Sandra Bland, Bothan Jean, Atatiana Jefferson, Trayvon Martin, Breonna Taylor, George Floyd and so many others should still be here to contribute to our/their history. But senseless, cruel acts of evil took them out of life’s grasp; and upon their deaths, they became a hashtag and to the eyes of many just another negro. But to me and so many others, their lives and (sadly) their deaths matters. ✊🏽❤️
