Most people try to fix this with wax.

And for a short time, it helps.

But wax sits on top of the surface and breaks down quickly in a marine environment. So you end up in a cycle: Clean it → Wax it → Watch it fade again → Repeat.

And every time it gets worse, it requires more aggressive correction to bring it back.

That’s where what we do is different.

At OCDetailing, we don’t just make your boat look better—we focus on preserving it.

We use a system called FEYNLAB® HYDRO, which is specifically designed for marine environments. And instead of being a one-step product, it’s a 4-step system that works together to properly protect your boat’s surface.

First, we deep clean and strip the surface. This removes all the embedded contamination and anything that would prevent proper bonding.

Then, we apply a bonding layer that attaches directly to your gel coat. This is what anchors the system in place—it’s not just sitting on top.

Next, we build protection. This layer adds resistance against UV damage, oxidation, and the harsh conditions your boat faces every day.

Finally, we apply a slick, hydrophobic top coat. This is what gives you that glossy finish and makes water bead and slide off—so dirt and grime don’t stick the same way.

What that means for you is simple:
Your boat stays looking better, longer.
It becomes much easier to clean.

And you’re no longer constantly fighting against the elements.

But just as important as the product is how it’s installed.

This isn’t something that can just be wiped on and hoped for the best.

It requires proper prep, proper application, and an understanding of how the system works together.
