Jesuit Cycling

First time taking the team to Junior Nationals. Jack Webb ('24) & Nico Martinelli ('24) raced the 60-minute crit tonight on the ~1-mile 6-corner course in Charleston, WV. The race averaged 29 mph and Jack finished 20th.

Jesuit Cycling takes on the Green Mountain Stage Race in Vermont with 110 of the top 15-18 year-olds from across the U.S. & Canada.

5.7 mile ITT this morning. 78 mile RR Sat., 60 mile climbing RR Sun. and short Crit Mon.

Coach Armstrong was last here 19 years ago racing in the cat 4's at the start of his senior year in university.

Should be a tough but good weekend with invaluable race experience.

A first for Jesuit Cycling is happening now as alum Hugo Scala Jr. ('16) starts a professional race as a member of a professional cycling team racing The Trofeo Calvia Challenge Mallorca in Spain. The start list includes 22 professional teams featuring 8 of the top tier World Teams and some of the best racers in the world. If you have GCN+ you can catch the first race of the 5 race series starting at 8a CST today (Wednesday).
