Skvare (pronounced "square") is a team of CMS (Drupal), CRM (CiviCRM), and Learning Management (Drupal-based LMS & LRS) experts that specialize in building online presence, community management, and online learning tools for non-profit organizations, professional societies, membership-driven associations, and educational institutions. Square and uneven.

When LMDA decided to move their site to WordPress, they had a webmaster they trusted. They didn't need someone to take over — they needed someone who could handle CiviCRM and get out of the way.

That's what we did. We migrated their live CiviCRM database to WordPress, preserved every member record and contact link, resolved a conflict that was blocking form submissions, and handed the site back to their webmaster intact. He retained full ownership. We filled the gap he needed filled.

If you're working with an existing developer and need CiviCRM expertise for a specific piece of a project, that's exactly the kind of engagement we're set up for.

You can read about CiviCRM's features. Or you can just log in and try them.

Our demo site runs CiviCRM on Drupal 11 with four different user roles — Administrator, Staff, Volunteer, and Member. Each one shows a different view of the system: what admins can configure, what staff members see day-to-day, and what volunteers and members experience on the front end. All with real sample data so you get an actual feel for how it works.

Head to the link below, pick a role, and see what CiviCRM actually does.

If your organization serves people in more than one country, an English-only website sends a quiet message about who it's actually built for.

For the Green Chemistry Teaching and Learning Community, that gap was worth closing. GCTLC connects educators, researchers, and students across 175 institutions worldwide. We added multilingual support using GTranslate on Drupal — six languages alongside English, with a language switcher that drops right into the existing site design.

One detail that made a real difference: we applied the translation widget to both the public site and the admin theme. That meant educators writing and submitting content in their native language could actually use the forms they needed most. A French-speaking teacher submitting a lesson plan shouldn't have to navigate an English-only interface to contribute their work.

When someone asks an AI tool a question your organization could answer — are you showing up?

Most organizations have invested in good content and solid SEO. But AI search works differently. Tools like ChatGPT and Google's AI Overview pull answers directly from web content, often without the user ever clicking a link. If your site isn't structured in a way those tools can easily read, your content may be invisible in those results.

The fixes are practical and mostly one-time. We put together a plain-language guide covering what "AI-ready" actually means, what to do first, and why it doesn't require starting over on your existing SEO work.

When a member changes their billing plan, what actually happens in your system?

If you're using CiviCRM with a payment processor like Authorize.Net, the membership record updates — but the old recurring subscription often doesn't stop. Members end up charged twice, and staff have to catch it manually.

We wrote up how we solved this for Rigpa US with a custom CiviCRM extension that handles every membership transition automatically. It's a technical post, but the problem it solves is one a lot of membership organizations run into.

Managing programs across multiple regions requires more than shared access.

For the National Network of Libraries of Medicine, we built a federated system that supports membership, training, funding, and reporting across seven Regional Medical Libraries.

The result is clearer governance, stronger privacy controls, and measurable program impact.
