“How do you stay so motivated??”
What you DON’T see in between these two photos:
- A lot of sweat equity. Like literal sweat from consistently working out every day, even on the days when I really didn’t want to. Especially on the days when I was so sore from the day before that I couldn’t even sit on the toilet 😂
- Setbacks. This journey was not and is not linear. There are months where I am 100% on point, and months where I eat more pizza than I would like to admit or skipped 3 days of workouts. There are times where I’m in the best shape of my life and times where I’ve been humbled by those unforgiving jeans not really fitting anymore. But I never quit on myself and I keep showing up.
- A lot of work on my mindset. I paired the start of my fitness journey with a personal development practice where I listened to or read something every day that would feed my brain. People ask me how I stay on track and motivated and I’ll tell you the secret is mastering the thing between your ears. Work on that, and the talk around failing and quitting won’t be a distraction for you while you work on your goals.
- Accountability. I have a whole lot of people to lean on when it comes to being consistent and showing up daily. Lots of group chats, lots of fun weekly challenges, and lots of tough love coming from girls on my team when I don’t want to show up. This is the secret sauce I believe everyone needs.
I know it’s so easy to get comparison-itis on social media and think that everyone you follow has it easier than you. But that is just a story you are telling yourself.
We all struggle! But some of us are willing to stand back up more than others.
What is something you’ve overcome in your health journey?? 👇🏻

My first run sucked 😅
I’m being complete honest and transparent. Running does not come naturally to me...YET.
But it will become easier every day that I show up and that is what’s going to keep me coming back for the next 28 days.
Everybody knows that when you start something new you kinda suck at first. But most of us don’t hang on long enough to see actual progress being made.
We want it to happen in an instant and save ourselves the embarrassment of sucking in those beginning stages. But that’s not how it works...
You don’t just become a runner overnight.
You don’t just lose all the weight in a week.
You don’t just make 6 figures in a month.
It’s a climb. And you have to be willing to start from the bottom.
And think about this, do you really want to miss out on all the GROWTH you will experience during your climb? Because girl that’s the best dang part!
Don’t wish away your beginning. All good stories have one ✨ What are you willing to suck at right now in order to be great??
