🎶 Homegrown Artist of the Week: Cure For Paranoia 🎶
Do they even need an introduction?
For more than a decade, Dallas hip-hop collective Cure For Paranoia has been building something special. What started as a therapeutic outlet for frontman and co-founder Cameron McCloud has grown into a project that’s bringing eyes on Dallas.
Last month, Cure For Paranoia was named NPR Music’s 2026 Tiny Desk Contest winner. and the 11-piece band performed behind the Tiny Desk.
Before the 11-piece band performed behind the Tiny Desk, they've played stages across Dallas, from Club Dada to Trees and The Kessler, while continuing to evolve their sound and message. In 2025, McCloud wrote a verse every day, reflecting on mental health, politics, and self-acceptance—topics that continue to shape the group's music.
Cure For Paranoia is just getting started. Catch them on the Tiny Desk Contest Tour starting June 10, or see them in Dallas at ‘Til Midnight at the Nasher on June 19.
And listen to Cure For Paranoia all week long on KXT.
