I wasn’t in the country I originally wanted to be in, but I kept my promise to myself to celebrate outside the country. 😌

Right before my birthday, I made a big girl purchase and started doing big girl things with it, so I told myself, “Let’s make a big girl decision and dial the birthday back this year.”

But to my surprise, this became one of my favorite birthday trips. No island, but Toronto owes me nothing! Matter of fact, I plan to go back more often.

Cardi was amazing, my hotel is still one of my favorites, and the company was a pleasant present with presence and surprise.

Turning 39 has already been one for the books, and I’m excited for what this next roll around the sun brings. I’m embracing my last year in my 30s, but I’m also ready to embrace 40.

Let the journey begin. I’ve got 40 things to hit before 40. 😎
