Earlier this year I had the pleasure of spending 24 hours with Ruth and Lorenzo, and see how they have dedicated their lives to helping others.

After years of shooting a mix of stills and video, I thought it was time to update the brand to better reflect the work that I do. So I'm transitioning Jeremy Sharp Photographer to Jeremy Sharp Pictures, and what better way than with a brand new website?
JEREMYSHARPPICTURES Early on, photography for me was simply an interest. A hobby. It was something that I could do with my father (a life-long amateur photographer)... a class that I could take in high school. But somewhere along the way, what began as merely a diversion grew into the kind of passion that can drive you...

Working hard at doing a major overhaul to the website, and I come across all of the great projects that I have been too busy to share, like this video from last year. It was one of my top 5 projects from 2018.
Shot, editing and music/sound design done completely in-house.

One of the highlights of 2017 was getting to revisit Moab Utah.

I thought it was a good time to repost these images from a few years ago. These were shot for Northwest Bible Church, in Dallas. Northwest is heavily invested in refugee outreach to Dallas' massive refugee community.
I just want to remind people that refugees, all refugees, of any religion or country, are people just like everyone else. Do not live in fear. Do not live without compassion.
Please share these images to keep faces like these at the forefront of our collective mind.

Client: Northwest Bible Church
Project: Every year, Northwest Bible Church spends two weeks focusing their attention on their world-wide missions efforts. This year, the theme was "Invisible Borders". The concept for the photography was to reinforce the idea that although we make up boundaries in our minds that can keep us from reaching out and engaging with those we deem different from ourselves, we are fundamentally more similar than we often see.
To accomplish this goal, we photographed 25 church members and volunteers, as well as 25 refugees from around the world, now living in the Vickery area of Dallas, Texas. No image manipulation was used.
