Protect Your ECM! 3 Tips from the Experts: Keeping your engine’s computer healthy can save you time and money.

Tip 1: Maintain Your Battery – Weak or dead batteries are a top cause of ECM fail. A stable power supply is ECM life-support, so check your batteries regularly.

Tip 2: Avoid Electrical Surges – Jump-starting improperly or a faulty starter can send voltage spikes that fry the (The Reasons Behind A Failing Engine Control Module). Always use correct jump-start procedures (or let a pro do it).

Tip 3: Keep It Dry – The ECM and its connectors hate moisture. Water intrusion or corrosion in wiring can short out the mo. Ensure seals are good and avoid direct water spray when cleaning the engine.
