They could cut a sprig of pretty much anything and grow it into another plant. Watching over the years, I began to do the same. In 2005, I started landscaping the lawn of our first home and over the years have helped friends with plant and landscape needs. Here is the deal…your landscape can be simple. It should be simple. If you want something new and fresh that doesn’t always mean a total scrape

Texas Temps Are Rising — Is Your Garden Ready for Summer?
The heat is on its way, and your garden needs the right prep to stay healthy and vibrant. Before June brings the full blast of summer, here are smart, simple steps to help your landscape thrive with less stress all season long:
✅ Feed your soil
Enrich garden beds and containers with compost now to boost soil health and help plants stand strong against summer stress.
✅ Check your irrigation system
Test for clogged heads or leaks, and set your timer to water early in the morning when evaporation is lowest.
✅ Cut back spring growth
Trim overgrown plants and faded blooms to encourage new growth and keep summer flowers coming.
✅ Add mulch or top it off
A fresh layer of mulch helps retain moisture, regulate soil temperature, and reduce weeds especially critical in Texas heat.
✅ Swap in heat-tough color
Choose sun-hardy annuals like vinca, salvia, lantana, and purslane that deliver bold color and thrive in extreme temps.
✅ Inspect for pests
Look under leaves and along stems for early signs of pest activity catching problems early makes treatment easier.
✅ Add shade or move containers
Protect delicate plants by relocating them or adding temporary shade for the hottest part of the day.
✅ Clean & sharpen garden tools
A quick reset for your gear makes summer gardening smoother and helps reduce plant damage from dull blades.
💡 Pro Tip: Work with the season, not against it. A little effort now means less watering, fewer plant losses, and more color all summer long. 🌼

This is what happens when a backyard is designed with intention.
At the start, the space had potential but it wasn’t being fully used.
So we reimagined everything around how the homeowners actually wanted to live.
A pool and spa became the centerpiece built for both relaxation and entertaining.
We expanded the existing porch to create more room, then added a fireplace and outdoor kitchen to make it a true gathering space.
For year-round comfort, recessed heaters and ceiling fans were built in because a great backyard should work in every season.
A custom fence and sliding gate added privacy, while a decorative brick wall helped separate the space and give it a more finished, elevated feel.
And for something a little unexpected a 4-hole putting green and chipping pad, designed for both fun and function.
Every detail was intentional, right down to furniture placement and the landscape lighting that completely transforms the space at night.
