Our mission is to promote use of longer-life, lower-maintenance, corrosion-proof PVC pipe in water and wastewater systems – for real sustainability, strength and long-term asset management. The Association offers free technical and engineering support for the design, installation and application of PVC piping systems. Attributes of PVC pipe include:

Moapa Valley Water District, NV Replaces Failure-Prone Ductile Iron Pipe with PVC
The “ductile iron (DI) pipeline has proven particularly prone to failure.” It was originally installed in 1995, but corrosive soils have degraded it. According to Utah State University, DI pipe has over six times more breaks in highly corrosive soils. PVC pipe has the lowest break rate of all commonly used water pipe materials.
