I am so grateful for all the birthday wishes and blessings I’ve received from all of you across all platforms. I feel so loved and am honored to have so many well-wishers. Today on my birthday, I remind myself the importance of self love and being my authentic self. Self love is the root of love we feel for others and is an integral part of wellness. While self care is part of self love, self love is so much more than that. It’s forgiving yourself when you mess up, it’s being gentle with yourself when you are struggling, it’s celebrating when you achieve something.

Staying hydrated is so important for our health. Drinking enough water can help with energy, looking young, and mental clarity to name a few of the benefits. In addition to drinking water, eat water rich foods can also keep you hydrated. Fruits and vegetables are mostly water (and fiber another important ingredient for health as well as nutrients but that’s a story for another day!) so fill your plate with your favorite fruits and veggies and drink plenty of water through out the day.

I opened a new bag of chia seeds to add to my smoothie this morning so here are the benefits of chia seeds! It adds great texture and heartiness to any meal, whether whole and soaked or ground and dry. Try it on oatmeal, smoothies, salad dressing, and many more ways!
