Ever start a major project and quietly think to yourself:
• This is too much
• I can’t do it
• What was I thinking?

The thing with taking on a big project is this -- You don’t have to do everything at once. You just have to start.

I’ve had to “relearn” that lesson a few times.

Most recently… with a 1,000-piece puzzle.

It was a gift from a friend and 100% music based – right up my alley!

But when I dumped all the pieces on the table?
→Immediate regret and overwhelm
→Too many pieces.
→Too much going on.

I almost gave up before I even started. Seriously.

It took me two full days just to shift my mindset from “this is impossible” to “Kristi, you’ve got this.”

Are you feeling this with career advancement?

→ You open the metaphorical box—LinkedIn, resume, layoffs, AI disruption, you name it—and your first instinct is: “I just can’t do it.”

But when you start by breaking things down into bite-size pieces…you can (and WILL) make progress.

And that my friend, feels AMAZING!

It took me six days to finish the puzzle.

Not sure how many hours. A lot.

But let me say this…the feeling of pride when I finished it was something I didn’t expect.
