Exciting changes are coming to the Roy and Helen Hall Memorial Library! ๐โจ
The McKinney City Council has approved a $1.2 million budget for a major redesign and construction project set to start in early 2025. ๐๏ธ This transformation will include a new layout, dedicated youth and teen sections, expanded study rooms, height-appropriate shelving, and more!
While the library will close during construction, plans for satellite locations are in the works to keep our community connected. Stay tuned for updates and get ready for a reimagined library experience! ๐

Details:
Current sponsorship ends in 2025.
Proposed extension: $425,000 annually for the city and McKinney Community Development Corp., $285,000 annually for McKinney Economic Development Corp.
$2.5 million in infrastructure grants for TPC Craig Ranch.
Extension depends on PGA tour agreement.
Background:
Hosted in McKinney since 2021.
Initial sponsorship in 2020, increased over time.
Annual costs: $400,000 for the city and MCDC, $250,000 for MEDC.
