Exciting changes are coming to the Roy and Helen Hall Memorial Library! 📚✨

The McKinney City Council has approved a $1.2 million budget for a major redesign and construction project set to start in early 2025. 🏗️ This transformation will include a new layout, dedicated youth and teen sections, expanded study rooms, height-appropriate shelving, and more!

While the library will close during construction, plans for satellite locations are in the works to keep our community connected. Stay tuned for updates and get ready for a reimagined library experience! 🚀

🏌️‍♂️ McKinney City Council aims to extend the CJ Cup Byron Nelson golf tournament sponsorship by 8 years, keeping the event in McKinney until 2033!

Details:

Current sponsorship ends in 2025.
Proposed extension: $425,000 annually for the city and McKinney Community Development Corp., $285,000 annually for McKinney Economic Development Corp.
$2.5 million in infrastructure grants for TPC Craig Ranch.
Extension depends on PGA tour agreement.
