Remembering Pablo Picasso 🕊

Pablo Picasso, born Pablo Ruiz Picasso, October 25, 1881 – April 8, 1973, was a Spanish painter, sculptor, printmaker, ceramicist, and stage designer who spent most of his life in France. He is widely regarded as one of the most influential artists of the 20th century and a co-founder of the Cubist movement.

Born in Málaga, Spain, Picasso showed artistic talent at a young age and received formal training in art. Over his long career, he explored a wide range of styles and techniques, helping to revolutionize modern art. His notable works include Les Demoiselles d’Avignon (1907) and Guernica (1937), the latter reflecting the horrors of war during the Spanish Civil War.

Picasso’s career spanned more than seven decades, during which he produced thousands of artworks across multiple mediums. His innovations, particularly in Cubism and collage, had a lasting impact on the development of modern and contemporary art.

Pablo Picasso died on April 8, 1973, in Mougins, France, at the age of 91. The cause of death was pulmonary edema and heart failure.
