Is the bear market over? As with any market cycle, it takes time for a trend to get established. Stock prices seem to be rebounding, but the 10-year Treasury yield remains below the 2-year, indicating a recession could be on the horizon as noted below. Only time will tell how the markets will resolve conflicting signals.

Q4 GDP is set to be released on January 26th and the outlooks are divided. The Atlanta Fed's GDPNow is projecting a growth of 3.5%, while private economists are estimating 1.75% with the most optimistic projection at 2.8%.
