New item alert!! I combine beautiful, hand-stitched, fair trade Kantha scarves and upcycled t-shirts and voila! Absolutely one-of-a-kind flowy ponchos that look great with jeans, shorts, skirts, or over a strappy dress. They are closed on the sides with comfy armholes and a little flutter side hem. Some are cropped at waist length and some are the tunic-length. I have some cool ones ready to go, but I can also create one especially for you if you have a tee shirt you'd like upcycled into a poncho.

I'm very excited to be a part of the Southland Local Food System Expo again this year! Usually, I'm wearing my Mrs. Mushroom hat for this informative (and free!) event, but this year I'll be switching it up a bit and leading an interactive session on artful mending called Don't Pitch It - Stitch It! I'll be teaching folks how to keep their favorite, worn out hoodie or holey jeans out of the landfill and transformed into one-of-a-kind pieces of wearable art. Sustainability doesn't have to be overwhelming, it can start one small stitch at a time.
