It can be hard to balance a complicated ProPresenter setup with making it easy for volunteers to run error-free on Sunday, so here's a few tips that have helped me!

Overall, I really try to equip our volunteers by explaining more than just clicking the next slide or hitting the space bar.bif they know some of the backend of how it actually works, typically they can fix problems that come up faster than I can.
Plus, like many other Sunday volunteer positions, it establishes trust with our team by giving them responsibility in their role.

Why you should consider tracking your time 👇

Time tracking might sound like a weird concept, but for clients projects and freelance work, there are a few ways it's proven to be beneficial to me!

By far the most beneficial part has been dialing in on what I should be working on. Sure, some things are fun for me, but actually working on the projects I'm being paid to do (or social content if that's one of my goals) beats out any amount of time spent doing just busy work. Tracking where my time goes has really helped me be more aware of that as a creative.

I have 1 project called "Admin" and my time spent on that has drastically gone down over the years. Same with building (or re-building) my website.

I even get an email each week that tells me how much time I tracked the previous week.

I use the free version of and I'm a big fan! I first heard about this concept from and have been doing it for years now.

Steal a few of my favorites below:
- Typewriter (like you’re typing on the screen)
- Any of the “Fade up”
- Random fade in
- Slow fade on

Don’t forget to dig into the settings on these and fine-tune to get exactly what you want!

Did you know you can change the icon for external drives on your Mac? It's actually super easy.

Just find any photo, cut out the background to make it transparent, then drag it into the drive icon in the "Get Info" window.

Working on a project like this is a great test to see if your process for smaller projects can hold up with a larger one.
Obviously this can look different, and this one did because of the content and fitting 5 different stories into 1 cohesive piece, but I do follow this on most of the videos I create.
Practicing these same steps on short form projects really helped me refine this process and make it into something to hold up across a large 1-hr deliverable.
