Thank you to all of the family members that care for their nieces, nephews, grandchildren, cousins, and other family members.

We are excited to share several initiatives within our Empowered to Foster ministry that present tangible ways for us to make a positive impact! π
There are SO many ways to come alongside foster families in need!
Currently, our "Care communities" are active, extending heartfelt support to foster families within our congregation by providing essential aid such as meals, child care, and other forms of assistance. But, we still are in need of volunteers who have a heart for foster families in these areas.
As we move forward, we're thrilled to introduce a new opportunity starting this September, known as the "CarePortal." This innovative system enables local case workers to communicate specific, tangible needs from families in our community that we, as devoted church members, can fulfill.
In the coming year, we're anticipating the launch of "Families Count," a six-week biblical parenting course designed to aid the reunification of biological families within the foster care system. This program presents various roles for our church members to play, including assisting with transportation, preparing meals, providing childcare during the lessons, and offering mentorship to parents.
Your willingness to contribute your time, skills, and compassion will be instrumental in bringing these initiatives to life. If you're intrigued to learn more about "Care Communities," "Care Portal," or "Families Count," we invite you to visit the Empowered to Foster booth in the lobby throughout the month of August.
Together, as a united church family, we can make a lasting difference in the lives of foster children, families, and our entire community.
Have questions? Contact Mary Kate McLean at [email protected] or visit the Empowered to Foster booth in the lobby through the end of August!
