That’s a wrap on this full bathroom remodel!

We went with a clean black and white palette — classic subway tile, hex floor, matte black fixtures, and a curbless shower that keeps the space feeling open and accessible.

Small bathrooms can still make a big impact when the details are done right. Really proud of how this one came together.

On to the next one!

Done by Design is officially one year old!

This year has been filled with opportunity, problem-solving, creativity, and partnerships that mean more than I can put into words. I’ve learned a ton, grown even more, and had the privilege of building alongside some incredible people.

And I can confidently say — working with my hands beats a day full of Zoom calls.

Shower floors (especially curbless) don’t leave room for “close enough.”

We kicked off this full remodel with the most intimidating part first: a full ceiling lift.

Drywall is now hung and finished ✔️
Which means… cabinets are officially getting ordered!

Old electrical that should have been removed years ago — and absolutely not something you want hanging out above your head.

Another reminder: old houses have stories… and sometimes they need a little correcting.

Before & After ✨

This project was all about turning a tricky space into something functional and beautiful. With vaulted ceilings, a flat fireplace, and multiple stain tones to work with, it took a lot of collaboration, custom carpentry and attention to detail. Together with the homeowners, we designed built-ins that tie the room together and make the fireplace a true focal point.

Sometimes the most challenging spaces lead to the most rewarding results.

This deck was looking a little tired — so we gave it a lift (literally). 💪

We pressure washed away years of grime, repaired the boards that had seen better days, and resealed everything for a fresh finish. Then came the glow-up: added overhead patio lighting to set the perfect evening vibe.

Now it’s not just a deck — it’s an invitation to stay outside a little longer. ✨🌙
