Popping in to say hello! It’s been a while, as I’ve had a rough time lately. I spent a lot of time with my parents in October - Dad had several falls that resulted in some anxious emergency room visits. His condition rapidly worsened and he passed away November 12. That, of course, was followed by a flurry of notifications and planning, a trip to Akron for the funeral, and a memorial service in Columbus at the senior facility where my parents live. Mom has handled all this quite gracefully, but I managed to get sick. Been battling a cold/sinus/chest virus for more than two weeks now. Anyway, I’m starting to feel a little more sociable so Poppy and I wanted to say hello and catch up with everybody! 😀

I feel this is what my guardian angel looks like. She’s just tired. And hanging out in a thrift store. 😔🥱

Sometimes I take a chance on an online auction lot because of something I see buried in or poking out of a box. Yesterday I got lucky. These heavy, full totes and box contained some real goodies. Mid century barkcloth, vintage Hawaiian print, a giant hunk of darling printed cotton I haven’t figured out yet, and lovely old ribbons still on the spool. And more I haven’t photographed yet. 🙂 All coming to Westerville Antiques soon.
