Mint Julep

Approximately 120,000 are served at the Kentucky derby today..

A classic Mint Julep combines 2 oz bourbon, 0.5 oz simple syrup, and fresh mint leaves, heavily packed with crushed ice in a metal cup. Muddle mint and syrup gently, add bourbon, fill with ice, stir until frosted, and garnish with a mint sprig.
