never diminished. After 10 years at home with her kids and husband, she felt the itch to get back into the beloved field that she stepped away from a decade prior. THREAD is the culmination of Miranda’s dream. It’s the result of influences that range from vintage bohemian and minimalist fashion, to her three strong & independent daughters, to the designers that Miranda cultivates relationships with. THREAD on Grandview opened in January, 2012, and moved to its current flagship location on Chambers Road in the summer of 2020. Reflecting Miranda’s own origins and the aesthetics of the brands that THREAD carries, the store is a gorgeous space to entertain both inside and out. Expansive, large glass doors roll back, opening the space to THREAD's outside patio where Miranda and her team encourage you to unwind, relax, & socialize while you shop. The store itself reflects both the heart and mission of THREAD: to deliver a Remarkable Experience by being a presence in the community, through the shared love of and mutual interest in fashion, all while remaining accessible and inviting. THREAD carries brands that no one in the midwest has. THREAD engages in collaborations with big names in the fashion world, and serves as a designer “incubator”, carrying lines that may only be in their first season. It is the exclusivity of the products we carry mixed with our midwest sensibility that puts THREAD a head above the rest, and we’re one of the few places in the country that you’ll be able to pick something up and say to a friend, years later, “I had this before the designer got huge.”
