Ohio State - 4-H Dog Program

Another 4-H Super Star! Congratulation Emily! All the best at Westminster Dog Show.

🍀Today we spotlight one of our 4-H members, Emily Kritzer of the 4-H Clover Crusaders and the Clover Canine Club. Emily first participated in the “dogless dog” project, and during judging that year, Clover Canines advisor Sherri Martin encouraged her to join the club once she had a dog. At the time, Emily had no idea how much she would fall in love with showmanship. Her first year showing was especially memorable—her dog was still a puppy and absolutely wild in the ring 😂.

🏆This year, she will compete in the Westminster Dog Show, Tuesday, February 2, at 12:30 p.m. in Ring 10 for the Junior Showmanship preliminaries. A total of 100 juniors from across the country have qualified and will be divided into four groups of 25, competing on Monday and Tuesday. The top eight finalists will advance to the final round, which will be held Tuesday evening at Madison Square Garden, immediately prior to the Best in Show competition.

The competition can be livestreamed directly on their site and it’s also available through other streaming platforms such as Fox Sports. In addition to Junior Showmanship, agility events take place over the weekend, and breed judging is held Monday and Tuesday.
