Probably my favorite part of the whole process.

This is where a pile of leather stops being ‘just leather’ and starts becoming an actual piece. Every pattern gets hand placed, every section gets individually picked out, and every cut is chosen for a reason. Grain, texture, character marks, color variation… all of it matters.

A big company would throw this under a machine, hit a button, and call it a day. Meanwhile I’m over here rotating paper patterns like a caffeinated leather goblin trying to make sure every single panel looks exactly right.

This part takes time, patience, and a ridiculous amount of artistic vision that most people never even realize goes into handmade work. But this is the difference between mass produced and handcrafted.

Because when you’re a small business artisan, you obsess over details nobody else will. And honestly… that obsession is exactly what creates the best possible product for the customer
