October is Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month. The Wave of Light is part of Baby Loss Awareness Week, which is observed annually from October 9-15. Join us and many others in honoring babies gone to soon. You can participate by lighting a candle at home on October 15th at 7pm local time, sharing on social media using , attending a local event or virtual event, or by donating to an organization who supports pregnancy and infant loss. No matter how you join, be sure to say a baby’s name and offer thoughts and prayers for the families who’ve lost - because every life matters.
In honor of the Columbus Blue Jackets’ home opener tonight — I sat down for a one-on-one conversation with Maggie Jenner, wife of CBJ Captain Boone Jenner.
Maggie and I connected after she and Boone announced the stillbirth of their son Dawson, less than three years after my husband and I lost Miles.
It’s a club we never wanted to be part of, but I’m thankful for the connections, support and love it’s brought us. I’m grateful to Maggie and Boone for trusting me to tell their, and Dawson’s, story.
