We dropped by the Missouri Wall of Fame, walked around Riverfront Park, and checked out the historic Fort D. Even though it was cold and foggy and most shops were closed for the holidays, it was still a nice little stop.

We also got to see a little bit of the Bill Emerson Memorial Bridge such a beautiful sight, and with the fog rolling in, some angles even reminded us of the Golden Gate Bridge.

We’ll definitely come back next time when everything’s open.

We visited The Walmart Museum and the Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art, both absolutely worth spending our family day trip and totally free to visit.

Just a fun fact, Sam Walton, the founder of Walmart, graduated both high school and college in Columbia, Missouri, so this stop felt extra special coming from our hometown area.

From history to world‑class art to beautiful architecture, Bentonville surprised us in the best way.
