We don’t talk about periods enough.
Even though women and girls menstruate every month, why is it that:
76% of students between ages 13-19 believe they learn more about frog anatomy than human female bodies at school?
73% of students agree agree education around menstrual health should be part of the core curriculum at school?
Taxes on menstrual products range from 4.9-10% in the US?
Menstrual health products are not part of SNAP/WIC benefits?
The burden this has on low-income and unhoused women and girls is tremendous. They miss school, miss work, and are left to choose between food and period products.
Let’s not make them choose. Let’s provide the products that give them dignity and keep them in work and school.

Before I dive into design, I create a moodboard.
For a website to be successful, the visual experience has to align with the brand and engage the target audience.
It’s a very strategic process where I ask a lot of questions about the identity of my client’s business and their target audience.
Then I pull images that draw inspiration from fashion, art, architecture, and color to design the visual direction.
It’s a fun and collaborative experience.
This moodboard is for a lovely boutique here in Colorado Springs and I couldn’t be more thrilled in the direction it’s going.
