The replacement process would be fairly quick if the seals did not need to be changed. Unfortunately, Vermeer made sure to have the rotation motors sit over the output seals, so the motors have to be removed in order to replace the seals.
New slide rods and bushings were installed, as one of the slide rods had broken off in the carriage - which is a common occurrence.
