I made "Autumn Twilight" from a view near my childhood home, up on a hill with rolling fields and a slender crescent moon above the distant silos. The colors are quiet, pale blues and soft mauves at dusk so the scene feels calm and steady rather than dramatic. I named this Caravanserai, after the roadside inns where caravans stopped. A solitary castle perches on a rocky crag, wrapped by the gnarled branches of an old tree. The contrast between the tower’s neat forms and the tangled, organic shapes around it gives the scene a quiet, slightly mysterious feel—like a place holding stories without announcing them. It’s the kind of image I picture in a reading nook or hallway when I want something that’s calm but a little uncanny.
