Transform with Toni

This one feels different.

My 10th show.
A national level Masters stage.
A chance, albeit a small one, to earn my pro card.

I’ve been working for this since 2018.

Not just for a better body, although I can say with my whole chest this is the best physique I’ve ever brought. But for the discipline. The grit. The confidence. The comeback. The ability to keep showing up through every version of life that tried to pull me away from this goal.

Ten shows later, this one feels special.

I’ve also been working on a posing routine that does not feel like regular Toni at all.

She’s sharper.
More confident.
A little more dangerous.
The version of me pulling out every damn stop.

Her name is Nova.

I don’t know what my future with bodybuilding holds after this, but I do know I’m not walking in timid.
I’m not walking in just happy to be there.
I’m walking in with fangs and claws bared.

And this new suit?
She understood the assignment.

Well I can’t sleep so here we go. Yesterday I placed 4th in my masters 35+ bikini category at the Ohio Northcoast championships. After almost 5 years away from the stage, it felt incredible to shake the dust off and get up there again, as what I believe, is a completely different human being than I was before. You always go in wanting to win, but in bodybuilding, you have about a 12%-32% chance of winning your class, and a 2%-8% chance of winning an overall. I’m also a 38 year old mom of two going up against 24 year olds in my open class, and with full transparency, it’s intimidating and caused me to second guess myself. You lose A LOT more than you win in this sport. But in my mind, I won 🥇

I won because I quite literally have the most supportive husband on the planet by my side. I wouldn’t be able to do this without him by my side. I definitely keep him on his toes, and keep life interesting for him and he just goes with the flow. He is a unicorn 🦄 and my boys got to see me compete yesterday for the first time!

I won because I have an incredible support system…my dad and aunt drove 3.5 hours to another state to come support me and cheer me on. And I have DOZENS of DM’s and text messages from friends, family, and clients wishing me luck and offering congratulations to me. 🤗

I won because I have a coach who knows what she’s doing, and put my total well being first before anything else while grieving the very sudden and unexpected loss of her father last month. 💔 she also drove to Ohio and back home the same freaking day just to be with me yesterday.

I won because my faith in God got me through (and is still helping me heal from) the absolutely devastating loss of my brother that my family suffered in March (while I was in prep) 🙏🏻

Every gram of cod, every second of cardio, every sweet treat I turned down was worth it. Bodybuilding is humbling as HELL to say the very least. But this is the best I’ve ever looked, I smoked 2021 Toni on stage. Today we are surprising the kids and driving right to cedar point which I am THRILLED for. They’ve never been and can’t wait to share this experience with amazing them.
