Had a great end to last week and weekend.
The Delta Foundation had a wonderful event, honoring great community leaders and rising stars.
I attended St. Timothy Missionary Baptist Church. Rev. Dr. Elmore Torbert, Pastor of St. Timothy was so gracious and welcoming. He had a guest minister, Christopher “CJ” Wimberly from Atlanta, GA. What a dynamic sermon!! This young man was incredible!
I ended the weekend at the Grand Opening of Mercedes Williams event space on Euclid Avenue. Beautiful facility, inside and outside. It was so nice to meet her and her husband. Also met news anchor Wayne Dawson and his wife.

Sunday was such a beautiful day to Rock the Block!! It was great to spend time with our Democratic Leaders, Congresswoman Shontel Brown, Richmond Heights Mayor, Kim Thomas and Cleveland City Council President Blaine Griffin as well as meeting store owners, vendors and members of the community. Warrensville Heights High School band was phenomenal, along with an old school car show and a long line of customized jeeps. Channel 8’s Ed and Peggy Gallek stopped by as well!
The day ended at the Chagrin Valley Dem Club picnic as everyone enjoyed the food and heard a few words from candidates and our Democratic Party Leaders!

What an AMAZING PRIDE Day in Cleveland. Today showed everyone what acceptance, understanding and love looks like. We saw Inclusion, Diversity, and Fun!! Such a great day of friendships, allies, music and FUN!!! It was lovely to see some of my former students at the parade too! HAPPY PRIDE MONTH!

Shout out to Beachwood Girls Track Team. You were amazing today!! Your hard work and dedication paid off!

Taking a few minutes to thank everyone for the very thoughtful birthday wishes. I am blessed and must thank God for allowing me another trip around the sun, for a healthy, happy family, for blessing the pivots I have made in my life and for allowing me to be apart of two villages that are thriving. Please help me congratulate two of my villages.

Several of my students graduated Saturday from Case Western Reserve University School of Law. Our Mock Trial captain was the student speaker and, as predicted, she gave a fantastic speech outlining her journey through law school. The other members of the Championship Team also graduated and I am so proud of all of them.

The second half of my day was spent in Columbus, cheering my grandson (8th grade) to victory in the State Championship Meet. He came in 4th in the 100, 2nd in the 200 and 1st in the 400. His time in the 400 was the fastest time in the State this year for Middle school. His earned points helped to bring the boys team the State Championship. Later that evening he showed me his grades-all A’s and one B.

I thank God everyday for allowing me to be apart of these villages. I am so proud of my grandson and my students. One of the best birthdays ever!!

I would like to humbly thank the voters of Cuyahoga County for your overwhelming support in giving me the opportunity to serve on the Court of Common Pleas-General Division.
