The We The People 250 March in Washington, D.C., on July 4th, 2026. A replica of the Preamble of the Constitution, along with hundreds of thousands of signatures from all across the U.S. were carried down Pennsylvania Ave. on July 4th, 2026 and delivered to the National Archives. On America’s 250th birthday, marchers carried this civic art piece to illustrate that the people of America believe in the rule of law and that our constitution protects everyone on American soil - We The People means everybody.

It was absurdly hot in D.C. yesterday, but we all still showed up for the We The People 250 March. We carried the We The People banner (the one used for the Ohio tour) and hundreds of feet of signature panels containing the signatures of hundreds of thousands of people from all over the United States. The We The People banner is an original artwork that is a replica of the preamble of our constitution. We were there to proclaim our belief that We The People means everybody, that our nation is rooted in the rule of law, and that our rights and freedoms are enshrined in our constitution and apply to everyone, not just who the powerful feel are deserving. Ours was a message of inclusion and protection, unlike that other group that is garnering all of the media attention.

We The People of Ohio joined in on this epic 4th of July march in Washington, D.C. A huge shout out to the organizers who kept us safe in the excoriating heat and peacefully exercised our first amendment rights. Thank you Backbone Campaign!

After 12+ weeks of prep and touring, it was time to pack up the We The People banner and signature panels and send them off to their next destination - Washington, D.C. for July 4th.
A big shout out to all the partners who participated and hosted signing events throughout the state for the We The People of Ohio tour. Thousands of Ohioans added their names to this civic art piece which is now headed to Washington, D.C. for a rally on July 4th where panels from all over the country will be assembled - over 700 feet of signature panels, and over 700,000 signatures will be on display!

For those in NE Ohio who are interested in learning how to register people to vote.
📣Calling all Voter Registration Advocates!
We are offering a training/refresher on registering voters with MTV NEO. We will cover the complexities of manually registering voters in Ohio as well as common errors and techniques to increase your success in getting people properly registered. This training will give you the skills to push back and stand up to those in Ohio wanting to strip us of our rights and safety.
If you plan to register voters in Ohio but not with MTV NEO, we welcome you to attend to learn the basics, like how to fill out the forms, but please know the training will be oriented to our specific processes and what to expect at MTV NEO events in particular.
