of tools which include basics such as wire cutters, pliers, hammer and small torch etc. The hand patina and brushing promotes a 'broken in' antique appearance which provides a fantastic contrast with the fine faceted gems my jewelry features. I use a wide variety of materials which currently include AAA grade gems - all hand cut in India. Also Antique coin silvers from all over the world, mostly from Northern India, Thailand and Africa at the moment. Ancient Byzantine bronze coins, ancient roman glass, ancient stone, bone and river stones. I have recently added a layer of fiber to my designs which include hand dyed silks, waxed linen and leather. I really like to educate my customers on materials and always find it fun to introduce someone to a stone they know nothing about. For example when using sapphires I prefer to work with the orange ones because people are least expecting them to be orange. I have used stones in their raw/natural forms, Raw diamonds and Emeralds have an unexpected simple dull luster and rugged edges and fit into my design aesthetic perfectly. I try to make each piece unique and individual which is why I'm always searching for new items to incorporate. I love the idea of being able to bring new life to an ancient stone that’s been in existence for over 1000 years and give people the opportunity to wear these treasures for generations to come.
