We are standing in the world's largest vacuum chamber! It takes 8 hours to remove all of the air, and allows simulation of the extreme cold of space at the same time as the extreme heat of sunlight. This chamber also appeared in opening scenes of Marvel's 2012 film, "The Avengers".

This is an 800 Megapixel image of Panorama Point in Badlands National Park in South Dakota this past July when Becky & I went on a 5000 mile road trip from Cleveland across 11 states.

The image is hosted on Gigapan, which allows anyone to smoothly zoom in or out and really enjoy the detail!

Something a little different today! A panorama with everyone at a baby shower for my sister-in-law, who should have a bouncing baby girl by the end of the week :-D
