HOWDY!!!! It’s Bellamy!! It feels like it’s been FOREVER! (cause it definitely has been, but I promise its for a good reason)

A couple months ago I looked at Megan and said, “It’s time to up our game in the quail world.” So what did that mean?

REVAMP! So I started searching, and we settled on Thieving Otter Farms for the next source of breeders.

I am excited to FINALLY announce our NEW lineup of quail breeders: Splash, Brown, Dark and Stormy, Black, and Wildtype.

Eggs are expected to start being laid in about 3-4 weeks, and we plan to start accepting new quail orders by December. Get ready to add some amazing birds to your flock! Stay tuned for more updates and details on how to place your orders.

Hi, this is Megan! While Bellamy has been hard at work improving the quality of our coturnix quail, I have been quietly arranging the beginnings of a Cayuga duck breeding program. I can’t guarantee when ducklings will be available, but right now I have one too many Cayuga drakes— who is available to a new home! We call him Elvis and we believe he is roughly 2 years old. I believe Elvis would do best as the only drake. Please message us with any inquiries or questions about him!

Hatch day never fails to be magical! So far four more Australian Spotted ducklings have joined Northern Star Farms. These guys will be available to new homes soon— DM us for more information and pricing.

Hey everyone, we havent forgotten about you!

I wanted to let you know that I'll be temporarily suspending quail sales, for between 2-3 months.

(it could be less, I am working hard on breeding more quality hens into the covey, but this can take upwards of 10 weeks to see eggs.)

i've recently lost a few key breeder birds (my good breeder Lucy Grey escaped her breeding enclosure, and we unfortunately never found her. Steps were immediately taken to ensure that no other quail could escape Quailcatraz.

we've also both been dealing with some health flares on our end as the weather has been changing and it is so hot here in NE Ohio!

Additionally, the fertility rates from recent clutches haven't been as high as I'd like, and we’ve been hatching and adding to our stock as we can with ladies.

I want to make sure that when I resume sales, I'm offering healthy, high-quality birds. I appreciate your understanding and will keep you updated on when sales will resume!
