Folks,

We cannot stress enough the importance of preparing your household, family, and friends for an extended lack of public services (e.g., electric, water, gas, food/water, etc.).

This is not an emotional, irrational, over-the-top outburst of fear and attention-seeking.

It is a reality, wherever you are, that you will face this situation, if you haven't already.

If your household is not equipped to holdup for at least a week without those above mentioned services, then when stuff does go down, you will be out there with those other unprepared folks rioting at Walmarts, sitting in gas station lines for hours, or sitting in your kitchen freezing (or burning) to death -- not necesssarily in a literal sense.

Is it gonna cost you some time and money to get prepared? ABSOLUTELY!

But, it sure feels good, or at least not-so-bad, to know that in case of a difficult time that you have some time measure of grace to wait for your government's (local, state, or Federal) response or your own next steps.

Don't wait. Don't wait for "a tomorrow", or the weekend, or next week. Generally, emergencies don't give you much of a warning, and if they do, everyone else is getting them, too!
