Researchers from Cleveland Clinic Lerner Research Institutehave identified a link between gut microbes, stroke severity and functional impairment following stroke, a brand new discovery which lays the groundwork for new treatments in preventing or treating strokes.
Cleveland Clinic research identifies link between gut microbes and stroke The results, published in Cell Host & Microbe, lay the groundwork for potential new strategies to help treat or prevent stroke. Plus, UH receives an award from Plug and Play, and the Clinic partners with the American Lung Association in Ohio.
