Codependent Millennial Coaching

On our group calls, people share things that they need other loving people to hear.

People ask really hard questions, questions that they’ve been afraid to ask in the privacy of their own minds. They always realize that they had the answer within.

People validate each others’ experiences, and realize that they’re not alone in any of this.

People heal in this community the wounds that have kept them suffering in isolation and shame for way too effing long. I know this sounds intense—words like wounds, suffering, shame, but this is real. If you’re doing the hard work of healing your codependency, you know this already.

You can find community absolutely anywhere, but as recovering codependents we experience some challenges when it comes to actually getting that support that we all need.

Do any of these challenges below sound familiar?…

-struggling to feel WORTHY of TAKING UP SPACE in a community or in a relationship
-really believing that you don’t know what you want
-getting swept up too quickly in what someone else wants/prefers/likes, without any regard for your interests
-not believing that the friendship/community/partnership you want is too good to be true so you settle for whatever is simply *there*?
-feeling very afraid that we will be abandoned, even when things are going well

We hold ourselves back from the simplest thing that we need as human beans…community.

What do you think is holding you back from finding the support and the community that will help you learn to love yourself, treat yourself well, have high standards for people you engage with, etc…? What is keeping you from taking care of yourself in that way if you think it’s something you need?
