Kevin took apart the AMD Ryzen AI Halo so you can see what $3,999 of desktop AI looks like inside. Intel's Arrow Lake, judged where it actually competes. The Core Ultra 7 265K pairs 8 P-cores and 12 E-cores (20 cores, 20 threads, no Hyper-Threading) and boosts to 5.5GHz, and at a ~$300 street price it's going up against AMD X3D chips that cost 1.5x to 3x more. It took the single-core Cinebench R23 crown at 2,267 points and runs cooler and more efficiently than the Core i7-14700K it replaces. Gaming and the heaviest threaded work are still where the X3D parts lead. Full review at the link in bio.

JetCool just put its SmartPlate direct-to-chip liquid cooling on the Dell PowerEdge XE7745. By pulling heat straight off the CPUs and GPUs, it handles up to 8kW per server, drops GPU temps up to 11%, cuts total server power up to 30%, and quiets the box by as much as 23 dB. The platform packs up to eight NVIDIA RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell GPUs, and it reuses existing facility water loops. Full story at the link in bio.
