Intel's Arrow Lake, judged where it actually competes. The Core Ultra 7 265K pairs 8 P-cores and 12 E-cores (20 cores, 20 threads, no Hyper-Threading) and boosts to 5.5GHz, and at a ~$300 street price it's going up against AMD X3D chips that cost 1.5x to 3x more. It took the single-core Cinebench R23 crown at 2,267 points and runs cooler and more efficiently than the Core i7-14700K it replaces. JetCool just put its SmartPlate direct-to-chip liquid cooling on the Dell PowerEdge XE7745. By pulling heat straight off the CPUs and GPUs, it handles up to 8kW per server, drops GPU temps up to 11%, cuts total server power up to 30%, and quiets the box by as much as 23 dB.
